Gary Rowett has stated that Millwall are not looking to do any deals with Cardiff or any other club in January.

This comes after former Millwall manager Neil Harris took over at Cardiff last week and obviously will know some of the Lions players very well.

With the January window just over a month away, managers will begin to create a list of who they are thinking about bringing in and it would be no surprise to see Harris try and sign some of his former side's star players.

Rowett has won two out of his first three Millwall games in charge, and will be hoping to keep the bulk of his squad together in January. He's expressed that he gets on well with Harris but won't be looking to do any dealings with him.

Speaking to News at Den, Rowett said: "I am sure Neil will have enough to look at in terms of the Cardiff squad and different types of players. All I can say is, whilst I get on really well with Neil, we are certainty not looking to do any dealings with Cardiff or any other club in January."

The Verdict

Transfer window season is already upon us, and it looks like managers in the Championship are already beginning to get jittery about possible clubs coming in for heir star performers.

It will be interesting to see who Harris goes for in the window, as you'd assume Cardiff would give him some sort of money to bring in a few players to shape his own side for the second-half of the season.

I'm sure if a Millwall player's head gets turned with a bid from Cardiff, Rowett wouldn't get on with Harris as much afterwards.
