Derby County manager has given his verdict on Fulham ahead of his side’s trip to West London on Saturday, in an interview with the club.

The Rams are in good form heading into the fixture, having won four of their last five league encounters.

Defeat to Reading in their final fixture before the international break will have come as a disappointment to the former Birmingham City boss, who will be keen to bounce back against the struggling Cottagers.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s men have been poor this term, and lie in 17th place having picked up just four wins from their opening sixteen fixtures.

Despite their slow start, Rowett is taking nothing for granted.

“Regardless of their form, regardless of the fact they’ve struggled against teams trying to press them, they’re a very good side and they’re capable of beating any team on their day,” Rowett stressed.

The Verdict

Derby are in the midst of a good run of form, but meet a Fulham side desperate for a win following what has been an extremely lacklustre start to the new campaign.

Jokanovic’s men set the division on fire last season with their electric play and free scoring nature, but something seems to have changed at Craven Cottage this year.

The club have suffered a lot of injuries to key personnel which has not helped, and Jokanovic knows his side have the quality in their ranks to turn their season around.

It should be an entertaining affair at the Cottage, with both sides keen for a win.
