Ex-Birmingham City and Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett has stated that he would consider taking up a managerial role at Norwich City or Bristol City, where both managers are currently under pressure, according to the Mirror.

Rowett was sacked by the Blues in December and has been linked with a number of jobs since, most recently the Nottingham Forest vacancy but he has rejected the opportunity to work at the City Ground.

Instead, the former Derby County defender would think about being the potential boss at Bristol City or Norwich.

The Robins' Lee Johnson hasn't won a match in eight attempts as the club lie 19th in the Championship.

Meanwhile the Canaries have been left frustrated since relegation from the top-flight.

After a promising start to the season, Alex Neil has struggled to pick up results in recent months, and despite being backed by the board, is under immense pressure.

The report also states Gary Rowett was approached by Nottingham Forest last week prior to the failed takeover of an American consortium, but it's understood the job does not interest him.

Norwich City face Premier League side Southampton in a FA Cup replay on Wednesday night and Bristol City travel to Fleetwood on Tuesday.
