The start of the EFL season has already unveiled some outstanding talents plying their trade in the lower divisions, be it on loan stars from top flight clubs, or emerging players.

In this day and age, extreme talent is often picked up by top flight clubs with little belief they'll be getting near the first team. A perfect example of this player hoarding can be found at Chelsea, a side that have 40 players out on loan, many of which are in the EFL ranks.

Some Chelsea stars are already proving their worth in the Championship and beyond. Mason Mount has been superb for Derby already this season and he looks to be one who can transition from the EFL to the Chelsea first team with ease.

With the likes of Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown at Leeds, Trevoh Chalobah at Ipswich and even Dujon Sterling at Coventry, the Blues tentacles extends all around the EFL.

That isn't to say they won't add to their ranks, if the talent if there. FLW looks at three EFL players that the Premier League giants might consider signing in the January window.

The 20-year old only has a handful of appearances for Brentford, but he's already causing quite a stir in the Championship.

He's London based, has England U21 honours and would seemingly be a perfect fit for Chelsea.

They love a good English centre back too, John Terry and Gary Cahill being perfect examples. Could Konsa be a perfect replacement for Cahill?

Grealish was hunted by a host of top flight clubs in the summer, but a move didn't materialise. That doesn't mean big clubs won't be looking again in the winter and Chelsea will want to be ahead in that queue.

He's a super talent, he's still young but has so much game time behind him he can be described as experienced too. If he does move, expect the fee to be significant. He's worth it.

Fry is a young man who has stepped up to first team football with remarkable ease and surely has a massive future at the very top of the game.

At just 21-years old he is arguably one of Tony Pulis' best players this season. His maturity and confidence belies his tender age and he seems to have all the ingredients to add value to a Premier League side right away.

Dael Fry and Ethan Ampadu as the Chelsea centre back pairing of the next ten years? Very possibly.
