Speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s clash with Burton Albion, Nottingham Forest manager Gary Brazil has spoken about his use of January signing Zach Clough, reports the club’s official Twitter account.

Clough arrived at the City Ground from Bolton Wanderers on transfer deadline-day and has impressed for Forest, scoring three goals in just six appearances.

However, despite his impressive goalscoring form, Clough has only featured from the start on three occasions, and was omitted from Brazil’s starting line-up against Brentford on Tuesday, despite scoring twice in the 3-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

Brazil went with Britt Assombalonga in attack as Forest lost to Brentford- where Clough came off the bench to score a late consolation in the 3-2 defeat.

Speaking about his rotation in attack, Brazil said: “We have a number of options in attack and I am keeping them all buoyed so I can all upon any of them to play.

“Zach is still young, getting used to the Championship and he is learning. He is getting better and stronger every day.”

Forest face Burton this weekend, in a vital clash in the Sky Bet Championship relegation battle, with Brazil’s side currently 18th, just five-points above the relegation zone.

Nigel Clough’s Burton are in deeper trouble, hovering just three-points above the bottom-three.
