Speaking to the press via the club’s official Twitter account, Gary Brazil is confident Nottingham Forest can put in a positive performance against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
Forest and Brighton are fighting at opposite ends of the Sky Bet Championship table, with Brazil’s side looking to pull clear of relegation, whilst Chris Hughton’s side are battling for promotion to the Premier League.
Brighton head to the City Ground this weekend, where they will meet a confident Forest side, who kept their first clean-sheet in five games last weekend in a goalless draw with Wigan Athletic.
Brazil, who was previewing this weekend’s clash with Brighton, said: “The camp is buoyed at the minute. We got a workmanlike point at Wigan last week and have had a good week on the training ground.
“We knew we wouldn’t be winning every week but the performances have been good and that will get us results in the long run.”
Forest are currently 18th in the Championship table, just four-points outside the relegation zone, and will face a tough task on Saturday against a wounded Brighton side.
Hughton’s men lost 2-1 to Newcastle United on Tuesday evening, a result which saw them slip from the top of the Championship table, Brazil continued: “Saturday will be a tough game and they will be hurt from Tuesday. We are focusing on our game and looking to get the three points.”
Despite being underdogs against Brighton, Brazil views Saturday’s game as an opportunity for Forest to show fans their improvements: “It is a key game for us on Saturday and a good opportunity to see where we are at with the improvements we have made.
“We know we need to be picking up points and we are looking forward to the game. Playing at home is a positive for us.”
