Sheffield Wednesday take on Blackburn Rovers this weekend in what could potentially be a tricky test for Garry Monk's side.

The Owls have been impressive since Monk took charge of the club earlier this season, and they currently sit fifth in the Championship table.

They're also unbeaten in their last four league games, and will fancy their chances of adding to Blackburn's dismal run of form at the moment.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of their game with Blackburn, Monk isn't underestimating the challenge that Tony Mowbray's side will pose to his team on Saturday.

"I don't think I have ever had an easy game at Ewood Park. We are expecting a tough, physical challenge."

Blackburn have struggled for consistency so far this season, and currently sit 17th in the league table coming into this game.

Tony Mowbray's men are winless in their last six games in all competitions, with their last win coming against Reading in late September.

The likes of Bradley Dack have already shown last season that they can cause problems going forward for Rovers, and he'll be keen to add to his goal tally this term, which currently stands at six.

But if Sheffield Wednesday are to have any chance of winning promotion into the Premier League this season, then this is the type of game they need to be coming away with three points from.

The Verdict:

This won't be an easy game for the Owls.

Blackburn have already shown on their day that they can challenge any team in the Championship, and Tony Mowbray's side will be keen to turn their poor run of results around as soon as possible.

But I think Monk's side will have enough about them to win this one, especially given that they're on such a good run of form heading into this game.
