Leeds United are one of the Championship's most in-form teams and, under manager Garry Monk, they've been storming up the table in recent weeks.

After a somewhat torrid start to the campaign, the Whites have really turned it around and after a fantastic 3-2 away win at Norwich City last weekend, optimism is beginning to build around Elland Road.

A Premier League promotion push could very much be on after some fantastic results and with the January transfer window edging closer, any team looking to push for the top six will need improvements.

Leeds have a thorough enough squad but you get the feeling a couple of options across the pitch would be enough to see them keep pace with their rivals until May.

And a hotbed of talent we think Leeds could really pick-up on is the French market, where youngsters are always waiting to move on loan to get some first team action.

There is some real talent buzzing around in both Ligue 1 and 2 right now, and FLW's Hayden Atkins is here to take you through three who would shine on a loan deal at Leeds...

Vincent Koziello

Nottingham Forest v Rotherham United - Sky Bet Football League Championship

First on our list is youngster Vincent Koziello, who plays as a central-midfielder for Ligue 1 front-runners Nice.

His team are enjoying a fantastic campaign and continue to defy the odds at the summit of France's top division but for Koziello, appearances have been limited.

He's made just one start and despite featuring from the bench on a number of occasions, it's first team football that will develop this talented youngster's game.

He's got all the makings of a cracking box-to-box midfielder and would be a real asset as Leeds look to close in on promotion to the Premier League.

Kylian Mbappe

Derby County v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Sky Bet Football League Championship

As young forwards go, not many are making waves quite like Monaco's Kylian Mbappe, who continues to impress first team bosses.

At just 17-years-old, he's part of the Monaco first team, albeit playing his role from the bench.

He's scored twice this season but like Koziello, a spell of first team football in a division like the Championship would really hone his skills.

As we've seen with Benfica and Wolves, the number of clubs in Europe that seem willing to send their youngsters to England is increasing and for a pacy, tenacious and talented option upfront, Leeds should definitely keep an eye.

Morgan Poaty

Tranmere Rovers v Cambridge United - Sky Bet Football League Two

Perhaps the most least-known player in this list, there is little doubting Montpellier centre half Morgan Poaty is destined for a career at the top.

With his side sitting in a respectable 13th place in the table, he's made a decent start to the campaign, making five appearances.

But again, like the other two players in this list, the 19-year-old could do with a taste of first-team action.

Whilst Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley have both been fantastic for the Whites this season, if either of them were to get suspended or injured, Leeds would be left short at the back.

Poaty would provide a useful option at the back which would do no harm to his development whatsoever.
