Speaking to LUTV, Garry Monk has confirmed Marco Silvestri could return for Leeds United before the end of the season, after entering the recovery process after knee surgery.
Earlier this month it was feared Silvestri would be unavailable for the remainder of the Sky Bet Championship season, after undergoing an operation on a knee injury.
Monk has now confirmed the goalkeeper could return before the end of the season, but admitted Leeds will take caution with the 26-year old, he said: “He is onto the recovery process now, we are hoping he can be back before the end of the season.
“It is obviously the process of taking it day by day and week by week, but we are hopeful that he could be back.”

Silvestri has found opportunities limited at Elland Road this season, featuring as Rob Green’s understudy in the Championship, with the former England International ever present in the league.
The Italian has featured in both the EFL Cup and FA Cup competitions this season, putting in some impressive displays, particularly in October’s penalty shootout victory over Norwich City.
