Garry Monk is still seeking his first win as Birmingham boss after a tough start in his new role.
In fairness to the former Leeds manager, he has come up against Middlesbrough and Cardiff, two of the better teams in the division.
However, he will still be disappointed not to have got at least a point on the board ahead of this weekend’s crucial game against Hull at St. Andrew’s.
The Tigers have recorded back-to-back wins to move nine points clear of Blues ahead of the fixture.
Fortunately for Monk’s men, Barnsley haven’t. The West Midlands side know a victory on Saturday could take them level on points with the Tykes who are currently one place ahead of the relegation zone.
Either way, it’s a massive game for Birmingham and the manager will surely look to make changes following successive defeats.
