Garry Monk has confirmed Ronaldo Vieira will be back in contention for Leeds United’s trip to Fulham tomorrow evening, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Vieira missed Friday’s 3-1 victory over Birmingham City with Monk opting to rest the midfielder, and include Liam Bridcutt, Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips in his 18 man squad, with the latter impressing as a second-half substitute.

The 18-year old is exciting in his first full season as a professional, making 30 appearances across all competitions.

Charlie Taylor was also left out on Friday, despite his recent return from injury. Explaining his decision to the YEP, Monk confirmed it was nothing to do with injury or form, he said: "They're all available.

“Ronny was available (for Birmingham) but I have to manage the group how I want to manage them and with young lads you have to sometimes pull them back to put them back in.

“And Ronny was one of them.

“He could have played and travelled but it’s for me to manage all of those situations and manage the group right and what I feel is best for them and make sure that everyone is ready for the games that come.”

Chris Wood took his goal tally to 25 for the season on Friday, as Leeds defeated Birmingham to remain fourth in the Sky Bet Championship and continue their quest for promotion to the Premier League.

Monk’s side have an eight-point gap over seventh placed Fulham, ahead of their clash at Craven Cottage tomorrow.

One player who will be pushing for a return to Monk’s starting 11 is Alfonso Pedraza, who scored his first goal for the club against Birmingham.
