Garath McCleary has played the majority of his footballing career in the Championship, and will be a household name with plenty of Nottingham Forest and Reading supporters.

The Jamaican winger is currently playing for Reading, and has been with the the club since 2012, when he completed his move to the Madejski Stadium from Nottingham Forest.

McCleary has shown glimpses of his quality with the Royals, but some might argue that he hasn't quite hit the heights that he did with Nottingham Forest.

One game that will live long in the memory for McClearly and the majority of the Nottingham Forest supporters is their 7-3 win over Leeds United back in the 2011/12 season.

McCleary netted a stunning four goals in that game, which saw the Reds earn a well-deserved three points.

Speaking in a Q&A on his Instagram account, McCleary revealed that the win over Leeds was the game of his career, and praised the togetherness of the Nottingham Forest squad in that season.

It was a disappointing season for Forest that year though, as they finished 20th in the second tier standings under the management of both Steve McClaren and Steve Cotterill at different stages of that campaign.

The Verdict:

What a game this was for Nottingham Forest.

McClearly was almost unstoppable with the Reds in that season, and he showed his class against Leeds in front of a stunned Elland Road on the night.

Injuries have hampered his development in recent seasons, which is a shame, as I think he would have gone on to be a regular for a team at a higher level.

He'll be hoping he can get back to his best with Reading though, who have shown promising signs under the management of Mark Bowen.
