The international break has a few games left but most are done and Birmingham City fans are probably hoping that it would go on for another week.

After a brief glimmer of hope under caretaker manager Lee Carsley in games against Derby and Sheffield Wednesday, all of that went with a 6-1 loss against Hull and things do not get any easier this Friday.

The Blues are at home to league leaders Cardiff City and we think that the team's new manager, Steve Cotterill, needs to make some important changes to the side.

Most of all, we think it's time for Sam Gallagher to start with him scoring the consolation against the Tigers last time out and the Blues really struggling for options up top.

Rated by transfermarkt at £1.8 million, Lukas Jutekiewicz is the man to come out of the side with him in no form to speak of whatsoever as the Blues look desperately for some goals.

Signed in the summer, Gallagher hasn't really had much luck this season for the men from St. Andrew's but he is a good young player with talent and experience in the Championship and the Blues only have everything to gain.

It's certainly worth a roll of the dice against Neil Warnock's men and so, with that in mind, here is the XI we think Cotterill should play to try and get something out of the impressive looking Bluebirds...
