The Bolton squad are set to return to training tomorrow after missing two days in protest after they were once again not paid on time.

That's according to journalist Alan Nixon, who revealed that the players and employees are still waiting for their March wages.

However, he confirmed the first-team squad will end their protest as they prepare for Saturday's clash against Ipswich Town, although the game remains in doubt due to safety concerns.

Ipswich also provided an update on the situation regarding the game this evening, confirming that as things stand they expect to play.

Although, they did add that they will provide an update and give confirmation tomorrow.

It's a vital clash for the Trotters who will want to build on their fine win against QPR last time out, which moved them to within five points of safety and they will see this game as a great chance for three points.

The Verdict

The players have been put in a difficult position but it's good to see that they will at least have two days training ahead of the big game this weekend.

Obviously, that's providing the fixture can take place and it's farcical that a Championship side are in this situation.

There should be a proper update tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
