Manchester United have no intention of loaning Jude Bellingham back to Birmingham City if they manage to win the race for the midfielder.

The 16-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in the country following his displays for Blues in the Championship this season.

And, such form has prompted interest from across the globe, with Borussia Dortmund thought to be seriously rivalling United for the teenager. However, Bellingham has already held talks at Carrington over joining the Red Devils as they look to complete a swoop for the player.

Given his age, it had been reported that Blues will demand the youngster returns to St. Andrew's next season to continue his development but Sky Sports are stating that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will want to have Bellingham involved in the first-team squad.

In what is his first season in professional football, the Blues academy graduate has featured in 32 league games and has scored four goals, with boss Pep Clotet using Bellingham in various different positions across midfield over the past nine months.

QUIZ: Can you name the player who scored the first Birmingham City goal in each of the last 16 seasons?

The verdict

This would be a real blow for Blues as the youngster is only going to get better and he would still bring a lot to the team next season if they could keep him on loan.

Ultimately, it's up to the buying club but this is surprising as you would have imagined whoever that would be would want Bellingham playing each week.

So, it will be interesting to see what happens but what seems obvious is that the midfielder is going to be leaving in the next window and whoever lands the player will be getting an exciting talent.
