It has been a busy start to the summer for Reading, who are looking to put a disappointing 2017/18 campaign behind them.

Paul Clement is overseeing his first transfer window since taking charge of Reading, with the Royals securing some early deals.

Andy Yiadom and David Meyler have both arrived at Reading as free agents, with confirmation coming yesterday from the club that John O’Shea would also be arriving at the Madejski Stadium ahead of next season.

The 37-year-old becomes the third free agent to sign up ahead of next, having ended a long association with Sunderland, who have dropped into League One.

O’Shea has a wealth of experience, with over 650 club appearances under his belt over the course of a long career.
