Dennis Adeniran has been voted as Sheffield Wednesday's Player of the Month for September.

The Owls endured a difficult month, winning only one of their four games in September which came at Wigan Athletic.

Before that, Darren Moore's side lost 3-0 at Plymouth Argyle and were held to draws against Shrewsbury Town and Ipswich Town.

With another international break now upon us, Wednesday sit 12th in League One having lost to Oxford United at the weekend.

They sit seven points off the automatic promotion places, and results have been inconsistent, however Adeniran has been impressive.

Adeniran has been a key player under Moore since the midfielder arrived at Hillsborough from Everton in the summer.

The 22-year-old scored in the draw at Ipswich, netting in the 26th minute before Conor Chaplin netted a bizarre late equaliser for Ipswich.

Adeniran, who has featured 11 times across all competitions this season, picked up nearly half of the supporters' vote.

As announced on Wednesday's website, Adeniran has been named as the Owls' Player of the Month for September.
