Swansea striker Oli McBurnie, on loan at Barnsley, has been named the Sky Bet Player of the Month for February and Tykes fans have taken to Twitter to sing his praises.

21-year old McBurnie moved to Oakwell on deadline day and has been in terrific form as Jose Morais attempts to steer them clear of relegation.

He scored on his home debut as Barnsley earned a credible draw against near rivals Sheffield Wednesday, before going on to add further strikes away at Cardiff and Hull, as well as a brace in the relegation six-pointer at Birmingham.

McBurnie has some prestigious suitors, Scottish giants Rangers are reportedly monitoring his progress and Sunderland just failed to land him ahead of the Tykes in January.

McBurnie was nominated alongside Sean Morrison, Billy Sharp and Tim Ream, but the young Scot landed the award, much to the delight of Barnsley fans.

The took to Twitter to not only congratulate the striker, but also ponder whether he might make his move permanent.
