Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley has weighed in on the debate about football players' wages during the Covid-19 crisis, which has been well-received by many fans of the East Midlands club.

All professional English football has been suspended until the 30th of April at the earliest but at this point, it seems impossible to predict how, if, and when the season will be concluded.

Clubs are facing significant financial issues due to the delay to the current campaign and many are taking action in an attempt to counteract it.

Leeds United's senior management, coaches and players have all taken wage deferrals, while Huddersfield Town announced yesterday their board was following suit.

Health secretary Matt Hancock called out Premier League footballers during his afternoon press conference yesterday, stirring up more debate over player wages.

Ex-footballers such as Gary Neville and Gary Lineker have revealed their thoughts on the controversial topic already and Lolley weighed into the debate last night.

The winger's thoughts appear to have been well-received by plenty of Reds fans, some of whom took to Twitter to voice their support.
