It's safe to say that it's a frustrating time to be a football supporter, with recent off-the-field events calling an abrupt halt to fixtures across the country.

No scheduled return date has been put in place as of yet, as the relevant authorities continue to look into the most suitable option going forward.

It means that the race for promotion in the Championship has been put on hold, with it being a tightly-contested battle heading into the final nine games of the season.

Fulham are one of the teams that are well in contention to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, with Scott Parker's side being sat third in the second tier standings.

One player that has played his part in their strong performances this season is Aboubakar Kamara, who has made 25 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers this term.

Kamara took to Instagram over the weekend to tell the Fulham supporters to stay positive during this difficult period of time for the country.

The Verdict:

It's good to see him staying upbeat.

It's a really difficult time at the moment for a number of people across the UK, but a return date for football to come back into our lives should only be finalised when deemed safe enough to do so.

Fulham have been impressive this season, and I think that they're definitely in with a shout of winning promotion back into the Premier League.

Kamara will be hoping that he can find his best form in front of goal when football does return, even if that is to be behind closed doors.
