Ahead of the 2021/22 season, Fulham fans will be desperate to see a summer of stability and shrewd business to soften the blow of Premier League relegation.

However, with several high-profile players linked with a move away and even speculation surrounding manager Scott Parker’s future, their wish might not be granted.

They will still be one of the favourites to regain promotion back to the top flight in the next campaign though - and will need to spend wisely and retain some of their key players to stay in pole position.

But what is currently happening at Craven Cottage? Let’s round up some of the latest rumours swirling around West London.

Anguissa subject of European interest

Midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa could be set for a quick return to the Premier League, with Arsenal reported to be interested in the 25-year-old as of last month.

Despite the West London side's relegation from the top flight, Anguissa looks destined to end up in one of Europe's top leagues - and could even end up at Lazio in the company of former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri who is set to link up with the Serie A side.

Former Fulham loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reportedly also subject of interest from the Italian club according to Corriere dello Sport, although Lazio are likely to sign one or the other as opposed to both.

In a Daily Mail report last month, Anguissa was linked to other Premier League clubs including Aston Villa and Everton as well as Arsenal. And after spending the last three years settling down in England, the Cameroonian may prefer to stay in the country.

With Fulham now back in the Championship, the side could decide to cash in on him and his top flight wages now to invest in other areas. Anguissa still has two years left on his contract though, giving the Cottagers the opportunity to maximise his price tag.

Race to sign Campbell

A possible replacement for the 25-year-old could come in the form of Scottish youth international Allan Campbell, who is set to leave Motherwell on the expiry of his contract.

After rejecting a new deal at Fir Park, manager Graham Alexander has publicly conceded he will lose another one of his key players, with Declan Gallagher also leaving to join Aberdeen.

At just 22, Campbell played in the majority of the Steelmen's Scottish Premiership games in 2020/21 and appeared in the Scottish club's unsuccessful Europa League qualifying campaign, providing the midfielder with the domestic and international experience desired in the Championship.

His age also means there's still room for improvement and on a free, with Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa likely to go for a hefty fee, this could be a shrewd bit of business from the Fulham board.

According to a Football Insider exclusive, fellow second tier sides Millwall, Luton Town and Peterborough are also pursuing his signature. Fulham could be the most attractive option to Campbell - but they will need to move quickly to secure his services.

Pep interested in Robinson

Manchester City could make a move for full-back Antonee Robinson this summer, according to The Sun.

Robinson joined Fulham last summer from Wigan Athletic for a bargain £2m deal, partly owing to the Great Manchester side's financial struggles at the time and their demise into administration.

If Pep Guardiola meets the reported £10m valuation set for the United States international, Scott Parker could be set to gain a profit quadruple the initial price the Championship side paid for him just ten months ago.

Even though Robinson is unlikely to start with the likes of Ruben Dias, John Stones and Nathan Ake already at the Etihad Stadium, the sheer size of City is likely to tempt him away from the West London side and Fulham may not decide to stand in his way with the amount of profit that could be made.

After his proposed move to AC Milan in January 2020 fell through in gut-wrenching circumstances, will he finally secure his move to a European powerhouse after getting his first taste of Premier League football last season?
