Roda JC are set to move for Fulham striker Adam Taggart, after missing out on their first-choice target, according to Dutch publication Voetbal International.
The Netherlands club were in talks with former Western Sydney Wanderers forward Tomi Juric, but have pulled out of negotiations after the player’s representatives upped his personal demands.
Roda will now turn their attention to fellow Australian international Taggart, who was not invloved in Fulham’s squad for their opening fixture on Saturday as they drew with Cardiff City 1-1.
Taggart has yet to play for Fulham after joining the London club in June last year on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, but injuries played a part in keeping the striker from appearing, last campaign.
The Fulham forward has slipped down the pecking order at Craven Cottage, with the likes of Matt Smith, Cauley Woodrow, Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele all ahead of him.
The 22-year old was a part of the Australia squad at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and appeared as the Socceroos lost to both Spain and the Netherlands respectively.
