Fulham forward Cauley Woodrow has this morning been called up to the England under-21 squad to face Czech Republic and Germany, reports BBC Sport.

The Fulham youngster got the call after in-form West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino was forced to pull out of the squad due to a injury to his foot, sustained during the Baggies defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad.

Woodrow has made 18 appearances for the Cottagers this season scoring two goals and will be hoping that he can get more minutes under his belt to improve that tally and try and move Fulham up the table, as they currently sit in 20th position only eight points clear of the relegation zone.

He made his debut for Fulham in a 3 - 1 defeat away to Cardiff City last March. Since then he has struggled to tie down a regular first team spot after a loan spell to Southend which saw him score three goals in 19 games.

Elsewhere, Eric Dier, Callum Wilson and Patrick Bamford have all been forced to withdraw from international duty due to injuries, with the likelihood being that Bournemouth and Middlesbrough don't want to risk aggrevating the injuries due to the importance of the end of season run in.

The England u21 squad in full is:

Defenders: Calum Chambers (Arsenal), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Garbutt (Everton), Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough), Carl Jenkinson (West Ham United - loan from Arsenal), Michael Keane (Burnley), Liam Moore (Brentford - loan from Leicester City), John Stones (Everton), Matt Targett (Southampton).
