Fulham have signed midfielder Danny Guthrie on loan from fellow Championship side Reading until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
Guthrie joins the London club on loan until the end of the season but should he impress is likely to join permanently in the summer due to his Reading contract coming to an end.
The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries at his time at the Madjeski Stadium and has started just two league games this season.
Guthrie has top level experience with Liverpool, Southampton, Bolton, and Newcastle alongside his parent club Reading but it looks like his time at Reading is coming to a close.
The Midfielder’s first job will be helping consolidate Fulham’s position in the Championship to avoid successive relegations.
Fulham currently lie 20th in the league, two places and eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Guthrie joins alongside goalkeeper Richard Lee who also joins on loan from a Championship side in double-promotion hopefuls Brentford.
The Reading loanee will be hoping to make his debut when Fulham face his fellow loanee’s parent club at Craven Cottage on Good Friday.
Lee will have to wait until the 7th April when he will be hoping to feature away at London rivals Charlton before possibly gracing the Craven Cottage turf on the following Friday when his side face Wigan in a game which could decide the fate of both clubs.
