Fulham are closing on on a deal to free-agent goalkeeper Jordan Archer, a source close to the player has confirmed to Football League World Chief Editor Sam Rourke.

The 26-year-old was most recently at Karl Robinson's Oxford United in League One, as he provided cover for Simon Eastwood over the festive period, making six appearances for the U's.

The Walthamstow-born goalkeeper is now a free-agent and Championship promotion chasers Fulham are set to seal an agreement for the player, with it increasingly likely that Marcus Bettinelli will depart Craven Cottage, as per the aforementioned source.

Archer's most fruitful spell came during his stint at Millwall, where he recorded 144 appearances at the New Den from 2015 until 2019.

The keeper started his youth career at Spurs and made several loan spells before settling at Millwall, it was at the London club that he received a call-up to the Scotland national team in 2018.

Fulham currently sit in fourth position in the Championship table, as they look to launch a push for promotion back to the Premier League this season.
