Fulham have set their sights on a potential move for Luka Milivojevic this summer.

According to The Athletic, the Crystal Palace player is a target for Marco Silva’s side in the upcoming transfer window.

The Serbian has been with the Eagles 2017 and has featured in six seasons with the London club.

The 31-year old has played with Silva in the past having worked together at Greek outfit Olympiacos, where the pair won the league title in 2015-16.

But Miliovojevic has fallen down the pecking order at Selhurst Park since the appointment of Patrick Vieira last summer.

The midfielder featured only 15 times in the Premier League last season, starting only nine games.

Fulham could offer a path back to regular first team football in the top flight having earned promotion back to the top division of the English pyramid.

Milivojevic joins the transfer shortlist with Neco Williams and Braga’s defensive midfielder Al-Musrati ahead of what could be a busy summer at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are hoping to sign a centre-back, midfielder, right back and a winger in this transfer window as they look to assert themselves as a Premier League side.

This will be the Cottagers’ third season in the Premier League in five years, having been relegated in their previous two campaigns in the top flight.

The Verdict

Milivojevic would bring a lot of experience to the side and has worked well with Silva in the past.

This could be a good short-term option as Silva looks to establish the side in the top flight next season.

The midfielder has also proven himself as a set-piece specialist, which could be useful for Fulham as they look for every advantage they can find.

It is unlikely that Milivojevic could be relied upon to play week-in and week-out but he could offer the team plenty in terms of experience at this level and in his current ability.
