Fulham have rejected an offer for defender Denis Odoi, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The right back looks set for a move this summer back to his homeland of Belgium, and it appeared he was all set to complete a move back to Gent. However, it has now come to light that Fulham have rejected the Belgian clubs initial offer for the defender, and talks are continuing with the hope of sealing the deal still.

Odoi made 21 starts for the Cottagers last season as they just fell short of promotion back to the Premier League, and now look set to reshape their squad over the summer, with Odoi looking like one of the first players being moved on.

He joined Fulham from Lokren, and impressed on occasions with his performances at full back. However, despite his 21 starts, he is not first choice at the club, and a move back to Belgium looks like being the best for all parties involved.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic will be looking to strengthen his squad this summer, and will no doubt look for a replacement for Odoi once any move is completed.
