The Fulham Youth Team, who this year were runners-up in the FA Youth Cup in a remarkable 7-6 aggregate loss to Chelsea, have many youngsters who have been tipped to break into the first team, possibly for next season’s Championship campaign.
Patrick Roberts, Cauley Woodrow, Dan Burn, Moussa Dembele, Lasse Vigen Christensen, Josh Passley, Chris David and Muamer Tankovic all made their first team debuts this season with Woodrow, Roberts, Burn and David in particular impressing.
Also, loan duo Marcello Trotta, who has spent the season at Brentford and Ryan Williams, who spent the season on loan at Oxford United, are both returning after impressive spells away from the club. Two other impressive young talents, Larnell Cole and Ryan Tunnicliffe, who have been on loan at Ipswich and Wigan respectively this season, were brought in from Manchester United in January and could be set for first team roles in the upcoming season.
The ageing Fulham side seen under Martin Jol last season in the Premier League will be unrecognisable from the sqaud Felix Magath is likely to depend on to bounce straight back to the top-flight. With exciting, talented young players and a promise of investment from Shahid Khan this summer, expect Fulham to be up there come the end of the season.
