A trio of London clubs have joined the race for Dylan McGeouch, according to West London Sport.

Brentford, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers are all lining up moves for the Hibernian midfielder, who is set to become a free agent.

The 25-year-old is set to leave Hibs on a free transfer when his contract with the Scottish Premiership outfit expires this summer and a host of clubs are looking at him.

A recent report by The Daily Mail claimed that Blackburn Rovers were on the verge of completing a deal to sign McGeouch but now a trio of Championship sides have joined the newly-promoted team in this race.

The Scotsman, who is hoping to win his first international cap soon after receiving a senior call-up, has been a long-term target for QPR.

The Hoops have been preparing a contract offer for some time now and hope that they can tempt McGeouch to Loftus Road.

Their local rivals Fulham - who are currently in the play-offs - and Brentford have also watched the attacking midfielder while considering a swoop.

McGeouch has previous experience in England as he spent a period on loan at Coventry City in League One from Celtic, making eight substitute appearances for the Sky Blues under Steven Pressley.

The Verdict

McGeouch provides versatility, as he is able to play on either flank or through the middle, and he has shown signs that he could settle down in England.

And while his end product could do with some improvement, he has certainly demonstrated his talent on the ball during the last three seasons at Hibs.

On a free transfer, this is a low risk move which could be worth a punt.
