The former Luton Town hitman joined the Cottagers in 2011, and made his professional debut in March of last year.

He broke into the first-team squad at Craven Cottage last season, making 34 league appearances and scoring five times as the club finished 17th in the Championship.

He has extended his contract with the West London club until the summer of 2018, with the club having the option of an extra year.

Woodrow, a six time England u21 international, was named in Gareth Southgate's provisional squad ahead of this summer's U21 European Championships, but ultimately missed out ahead of Premier League strikers Harry Kane, Saido Berahino and Danny Ings.

Speaking to Fulham's official website, the 20-year-old expressed his delight at commiting his future to the club and told of his aim of getting Fulham back into the Premier League.

"I'm delighted to be here for the next three years," he said. "Hopefully I can get my head down and keep working hard, and do my best for the club.

"As a player you always want a bit of security and to know where you're going to be for a length of time, and for me that was on my mind.

"When Kit (Symons) came to me and told me that the club wanted to renew my contract I was delighted.

"The last year has been brilliant - to make my debut under Felix Magath came out of the blue really, and when Kit took over midway through the Championship season it was really positive for me.

"I want to play a lot more than I did last season and score as many goals as I can and hopefully get the club back to where it belongs in the Premier League."
