Newly promoted Fulham are readying a £15 million offer for Queens Park Rangers attacker Eberechi Eze, with the Rs open to a move and potentially wanting one or two players from the Premier League club as part of any deal, according to The Sun.

Eze has been subject of heavy interest already during the transfer window, with the 22-year-old having enjoyed an impressive campaign with QPR in the Championship last term contributing an impressive tally of 14 goals and eight assists for Mark Warburton’s side.

Fulham will be in need of adding to their squad following their promotion to the Premier League, with Scott Parker having already managed to bring in Antonee Robinson from Wigan Athletic – and Eze could be exactly the sort of player needed to help boost their chances of surviving in the top-flight.

QUIZ: Did these 12 ex-QPR players actually ever score for the club?

It is thought that Fulham’s board are ready to back Parker with the funds needed to get Eze from QPR, with a £15 million bid being prepared - and the Rs would be willing to sell the 22-year-old for the right price, while they could be further tempted into allowing him to leave were one or two players included in any deal.

The verdict

It seems almost inevitable at this stage that Eze will leave QPR at some point during the course of the transfer window, but understandably the Rs are wanting to hold out for the best possible price for the attacker who is amongst the brightest prospects in the Championship.

A bid of £15 million seems to be a reasonable starting point by Fulham, but you would imagine that QPR will likely want to push that price higher and there are advantages for them with other clubs also in the race to sign him.

Eze would of course be almost impossible for QPR to replace this summer, and so were they to manage to get one or two quality players from Fulham as part of any deal it could prove to be a very wise move for Warburton’s side, who would also then be able to invest some of the cash on further additions also.
