According to The Sun, Fulham are planning a raid on Aston Villa for former striker Ross McCormack who’s reportedly unsettled at the club due to his lack of first team football.
McCormack moved to Villa in the summer for £12 million after the Scot scored 21 goals for Fulham in the 2015-16 season, earning himself a nomination for Championship Player of the Season.
But his time at Villa has been a miserable one scoring just twice in 16 games and facing stiff competition for a starting place from fellow strikers Jonathan Kodjia and Jordan Ayew.
Fulham are sat eighth considerably higher than Villa and have a real chance at the play-offs and manager Slavisa Jokanovic wants to capitalise by adding a proven goalscorer to there ranks.
Villa look unlikely to make a run at the top six but loaning out McCormack would free some squad space up, and with Villa reportedly interested in Middlesbrough want-away Jordan Rhodes it could be welcome.
It is worth noting though that Villa will be reluctant to let him go with Kodjia and Ayew both currently at the African Cup of Nations.
