Sky Bet Championship play-off hopefuls Fulham have been named as favourites to sign striker Robbie Keane following his release from MLS outfit LA Galaxy last year, according to Sky Bet odds.

The 36 -ear-old has been linked with a move to several clubs from the second-tier but the bookmakers have suggested Craven Cottage may be the forward's next destination.

With the uncertainty of loanee Chris Martin's future at Fulham having arisen, the west London side may be looking to sign the prestigious former Republic of Ireland man.

Robbie Keane had racked up 146 caps for his country following his decision to retire from international duty in August.

His career includes spells at the likes of Leeds United, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers - overall Keane has netted 218 goals during his rather impressive time as a footballer and might add to that tally if he finds a new employer in the near future.

He also has one piece of silverware to boast about, which came in the 2008 League Cup for Tottenham Hotspur.

Any side who want to acquire the player won't have to make it before tomorrow's 11pm deadline as Keane is currently not tied to a club.

Fulham may need a new striker to score the goals after Matt Smith looks likely to complete a move to Queens Park Rangers.
