Fulham, Millwall, Luton Town and Peterborough United are all said to be interested in signing outgoing Motherwell midfielder Allan Campbell this summer, with Football Insider reporting that the player has made up his mind to leave Fir Park.

Campbell is set to be out of contract this summer and is said to have turned down the offer of a new contract from the Scottish club and is now set to be heading elsewhere according to the report.

The Championship quartet are all eyeing new additions ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, with the 22-year-old said to be on their radars as they weigh up whether to make a move or not for the versatile midfielder.

A Scottish youth international, Campbell is set to depart his boyhood club after making 160 appearances for the Well at first team level and is regarded as a player with huge potential by fans of the Scottish Premiership.

The defensive midfield player scored four goals for the club in 34 appearances last term and was a key cog in the side that finished the season in 8th place.

The Verdict

The signing of Campbell would make a lot of sense from a Fulham perspective as they are seemingly set to lose a midfielder of their own in the form of Stefan Johansen, who is seemingly on his way to Queens Park Rangers.

Aged just 22, the midfield man has a wealth of experience for a player of his age and will surely be keen to move out of his comfort zone after spending all of his career to date in Scotland.

Given that he is set to be available on a free in under a months time, the Whites should move quickly to seal the deal if they are to beat off competition from the other three clubs.

This could prove to be shrewd addition by Scott Parker if they pull it off.
