According to The Daily Star via the Sky Sports News Transfer Centre Live Blog on Tuesday 14th March [11:22 GMT], Burton Albion are lining up a club record bid for Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow.

Cauley Woodrow is currently impressing on loan at Burton Albion alongside Fulham team mate Lasse Vigen Christensen and the Brewers want to sign Woodrow on a permanent deal.

Since signing on loan for Burton in January, Woodrow has struck three goals in eight games including the only goal in this weekend's 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

All three goals have turned out to be the winner in narrow one-goal victory margins and this has ultimately earned the Brewers six vital points in their quest for Championship survival.

As a result of Woodrow's good form, Nigel Clough is lining up a £750,000 bid for the 22-year-old, which would smash Burton Albion's record transfer fee.

The previous highest fee paid was £250,000 for Jackson Irvine in the summer and the Australian has also been a key member of their squad this season.

Burton fans - would you like to sign Woodrow on a permanent deal?

Fulham fans - would you sell Woodrow at that price? Does he have a future at Fulham?
