Fulham's Jean Michael Seri could be about to make a switch across the capital, with The Guardian's Ed Aarons suggesting he could join Crystal Palace.

The 27-year-old has endured a frustrating season in West London as the Cottagers were relegated in their first year back in the Premier League.

Seri arrived with a great reputation due to previous reports suggesting that Barcelona and Chelsea were interested. He has failed to live up to that but Crystal Palace could offer him the chance to redeem himself.

It is looking more likely that he will leave Fulham. First rumours appeared linking him with Lyon, and the club may want to offload him from the wage bill, whilst bringing in a decent sum of money - to recoup the £25 million they spent on him.

Seri started his Fulham career with a bang when he rifled in a 25-yard strike against Burnley in only his third appearance, but has since failed to make an impact, despite making 34 appearances in all competitions.

Scott Parker may want a clean slate with players who want to be at the club, and that could mean the departure of Seri.

The Verdict

It is surprising that Seri did not have the same level of impact at Fulham that he did in France with Nice. So much was promised but he failed to deliver on a consistent basis, so it is little surprise that Fulham may be open to him moving on.

Relegated Premier League clubs are often burdened with failed signings who don't want to play in the second-tier, and this seems to be the case with Seri. At least for Fulham's sake there are interested parties, and they can hope to receive a bid matching or close to what they paid only last summer.
