Fulham are hopeful of bringing two Newcastle strikers to the club this summer including loan star Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian has been a sensation since arriving at Craven Cottage late in the January window, scoring 12 goals in 16 games.

Therefore, it's no surprise to see that Slavisa Jokanovic wants to bring his compatriot in on a permanent basis this summer. And, according to The Sun, he wants fellow Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle to join him in West London too.

The former Crystal Palace striker has been a long-term target for Fulham, who failed with a bid to sign him in August for around £15m, although Swansea are also said to be interested in the 27-year old.

As you would expect, the report states that these deals will depend on the Cottagers gaining promotion to the Premier League which is still in doubt.

Fulham could secure automatic promotion if they better Cardiff City's result on Sunday however the Welsh side have a home game with Reading that they are expected to win.

If they do collect all three points, Jokanovic's men will have to settle for a place in the play-offs.

The Verdict

Mitrovic has to be the number one priority for Fulham this summer because he has been incredible since joining up and has transformed this side.

Adding Gayle would be smart as he is a different type of striker but could be effective with the quality Fulham have in the middle of the park.

Given that, fans will be pleased with this news but it's all about securing promotion for Fulham before they can think about the summer.
