Fulham leading the chase for 25-year-old

According to the Irish Sun, Fulham are leading the race to sign Greek defender Dimitrios Chatziisaias.

The Lilywhites take on Aston Villa this weekend in the play-off final as both sides vie to get back into the Premier League after at least a couple of years away.

It should be an entertaining game for the neutral at least, then, but regardless of who goes up this weekend, both will be looking to strengthen their sides for 2018/19.

And so, with that in mind, Chatziisaias is evidently on Fulham’s radar.

He’s apparently regarded as one of the best defenders in Greek football right now and Hull City are also reportedly keen on bringing him in.

Indeed, the Tigers scored enough goals to be in the play-offs themselves but conceded enough to go down so tightening up at the back is the task for Nigel Adkins and his men this summer.

The Verdict

The Greek defender had a good season and looks as though he’s on the top of his game at the moment.

However, if Fulham are promoted on Saturday they might be better off going for more proven options ahead of a Premier League campaign.
