The Finnish international is in the final year of his contract at Ajax and a decent offer from the Championship club could tempt him to Craven Cottage.
He has played in Netherlands since 2003, playing for Ajax, PEC Zwolle and Az Alkmaar. During that he has made over 230 Eredivisie appearances.
He is also a mainstay in the Finland national team as the captain of the Eagle-Owls.
His calm and composed style makes him an ideal fit in the Fulham team given their tendency to play passing football. His experience in top European football will also be a valuable asset.
