Sheffield Wednesday have rejected a £1.2 million bid from Fulham for former Leeds defender Tom Lees, according to the Daily Mail.
Lees made a shock move to Yorkshire rival’s Sheffield Wednesday from Leeds last summer after much speculation over his future at the club.
The centre-back had a fantastic first year at Hillsborough, where he and his defence managed the second most clean sheets throughout the year.
The 24-year-old is seemingly in demand this summer after links with the Premier League side Burnley and Sunderland in January, and he’s now had an offer of £1.2 million from Fulham, which has been rejected by Owls boss Stuart Gray.
Fulham are on the hunt for a new centre back, but are punching well above their weight in their mission, attempting to pick up Wolves player of the season Richard Stearman, who they also had an offer turned down for.
They’re also competing with a spread of Premier League sides and Derby County for Brighton centre back Lewis Dunk, who they’ve also had a bid rejected for.
