Championship promotion hopefuls Fulham could be set for a bitter blow with the news that Premier League side West Ham are confident of signing both Ryan Fredericks and midfielder Tom Cairney this summer, according to a report by TeamTalk.

The Cottagers are on the brink of a return to the Premier League, depending on Cardiff City's results, but could still be set to lose two of their key men, with fullback Fredericks due to be out of contract and midfielder Cairney being one of the most sought after players outside the top flight.

The report claims that the Hammers are confident of sealing a deal for the pair, with manager David Moyes a keen admirer of both players.

Cairney has been one of the standout performers in the Championship over the last two seasons, and this year was in the top three at the EFL player of the year awards, which saw teammate Ryan Sessegnon pick up the award ahead of Wolves' Ruben Neves.

The report states Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic is accepting of the decision to sell Cairney, but feels the loss of Fredericks is something which could have been avoided, with the club failing to tie down the right back to a longer term contract.
