Fulham could use the money made from the sale of Ryan Sessegnon to sign Tottenham Hotspur duo Josh Onomah and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, according to The Telegraph.

The Telegraph claim that Spurs are closing in on a deal for Sessegnon after a breakthrough in talks between the two clubs, and that Fulham could use some of the cash to sign midfielder Onomah and winger Nkoudou.

It is unclear whether the duo have been offered as part of Spurs' bid for Sessegnon or whether Fulham would try to sign either player with the money generated from his sale.

This latest report states that Spurs are likely to pay around £20million plus add-ons for Sessegnon, and that Fulham's interest in Onomah and Nkoudou has helped speed up negotiations between the two clubs.

Onomah has made 32 appearances for Spurs, and has spent time on loan in the Championship with Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Nkoudou has made 26 appearances for Tottenham and has spent time on loan at Burnley and Monaco in recent seasons.

Both players have not been included on Spurs' pre-season tour of Asia and have been told to find a new club this summer.

The Verdict

I think this would be a smart move from Fulham and would soften the blow of losing Sessegnon.

Sessegnon is one of the brightest young talents in English football and Fulham were always going to struggle to keep hold of him after their relegation from the Premier League last season.

It now seems as though it's only a matter of time before Sessegnon becomes a Tottenham player and it will be a blow for Fulham to lose him.

However, he was always going to move on sooner or later, and if Fulham can get a good fee for him and two decent players to replace him, then it could turn out to be smart business.

Onomah in particular has shown glimpses of his quality for Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday, and he already has a good amount of experience in the Championship, so he could be a good singing for the Whites.
