Fulham are said to be monitoring Sam Allardyce’s contract situation at West Ham United, according to the Daily Star.
The Hammers boss is on a one-year contract at Upton Park and has been told by the West Ham hierarchy that talks over an extension will not begin until the end of the season.
Fulham owner Shahid Khan sees Allardyce as the perfect manager who could restore the Cottagers back in the Premier League.
It has been a nightmare at Craven Cottage the past couple of seasons with a constant change of manager seeing Fulham drop out of the top flight and struggle in the Championship this campaign.
Current manager Kit Symons has restored hope after a disastrous start to the season under Felix Magath which saw Fulham sit bottom of the league after a run of 11 games without a win.
The Cottagers, who drew 2-2 with fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic on Friday night, sit 20th in the Championship and are nine points away from the relegation zone with four matches still to play.
