Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has emerged as a potential candidate to take charge at Fulham and has support at the west London club, according to The Sun. 

Scott Parker remains in charge at Craven Cottage but recent reports have indicated he could be set to take charge of the Cherries, though Fulham are understood to be adamant not to let him go cheaply.

It seems they're lining up potential replacements already with The Sun indicating that Steve Cooper is top of their list, though the Swansea City boss will cost them around £3.5 million in compensation.

Howe is an alternative that is said to be on their radar after snubbing Celtic earlier this summer.

It is believed that the 43-year-old coach has support at the west London club and may fancy a move to England's capital.

Howe has been out of a job since leaving Bournemouth after their relegation from the Premier League last summer.

The English coach has been linked with a string of jobs since but has not yet stepped back into management, with the long saga involving Celtic the closest he has come.

While it's understandable that Cooper is top of Fulham's list of Parker replacements after his brilliant two years at Swansea, looking to appoint Howe and capitalise on his Celtic snub could be a very shrewd move indeed.

It's a deal that would also mean they don't have to pay another club compensation, which is a real boost given how tight money is likely to be this summer.
