Fulham are edging towards securing their second signing of the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Ibrahima Cisse is having a medical at Fulham ahead of completing his move from Standard Liege.

Fulham failed with their attempts to sign Ibrahima Cisse in the January transfer window.

They had a £2.2m bid rejected, according to Sky Sports News HQ, but that has not put them off as they reignited their interest this summer.

The Cottagers look to finally have secured their man as the deal nears completion.

The former Belgian under-21 international has flown to London for a medical and to discuss personal terms after Fulham finally agreed a fee with Standard Liege.

After starting his career at Standard Liege, Ibrahima Cisse joined KV Mechelen in Belgium for two seasons before securing his return to Standard Liege last year.

The 23-year-old brings Europa League experience to Fulham and is hoping to bolster their midfield options.

Ibrahima Cisse's best position is in defensive midfield but he can play as a central midfielder or as a right-back as well.

Cisse fits the bill for Fulham's data analyst Craig Kline, who is running a "moneyball" style approach to transfers.

This means that he does not target anyone over the age of 28 as they do not have a high sell-on value.

Cisse looks set to be a Fulham player imminently.
