Fulham manager Kit Symons is confident that he can retain the services of promising duo Marcus Bettinelli and Patrick Roberts.
Bettinelli, 23, broke into the first team at Craven Cottage last season and made 45 appearances for the club as they finished in a disappointing 17th place in the Championship.
His promising breakthrough season in goal for Kit Symons’ side has attracted interest from Premier League champions Chelsea, who could look to bring the England U21 international to Stamford Bridge to provide back up for first choice ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois.
Roberts, on the other hand, made only a handful of appearances for the club last term, playing in a total of 20 games in his second season at the London club.
Despite the lack of regular gametime, the 18-year-old wonderkid has been interesting the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, and it was reported earlier this year that Manchester United were willing to fork out as much as £10m for the England U19 winger, who can also play up front.
Even with the talks of eight-figure transfer fees, Fulham manager Kit Symons remains confident that he can keep hold of the duo this summer.
“We can keep them, for sure, and that’s what we plan on doing,” he was quoted by Football365. “They’ve developed at this football club and they’ll continue to develop here. It’s a good place for young players to be.
“We want to keep hold of all our best young players, we want them to have a bright future with Fulham.”
