Championship duo Fulham and Norwich City are set to go head-to-head in January for the services of Eibar forward Sergi Enrich, according to the today’s print edition of the Football League Paper (page 3).
Fulham are said to have bid £3.5m for the player back in August, but a move failed to go through, but the Cottagers have retained interest in the striker that has scored 14 goals since moving to Eibar in 2015.
Enrich has caught the headlines for the wrong reasons this season after a video of him engaging in a private act with a woman alongside team-mate Antonio Luna appeared online, which led to the Spanish side terminating the contract of the former Aston Villa defender.
Whilst Enrich stayed with the club, Eibar would be willing to sell in January if Fulham increase their bid- but title-chasers Norwich City have now joined the hunt, as they seek to bolster their attacking options as they eye an immediate return to the Premier League.
Cameron Jerome is the only Norwich man to net more than five goals this season, whilst fellow strikersNelson Oliveira and Kyle Lafferty yet to open their accounts for the first-team.
