Fulham are set to sign Moroccan forward Zakaria Labyad from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, after Sky Sports News confirmed that a loan deal had been agreed between the two clubs.

Labyad has been with Sporting for four years but has struggled to cement his place in the starting XI.

He joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem last season and impressed during a loan spell which saw him score 11 goals in 45 appearances.

He has since returned to Portugal but has only been able to feature for Sporting Lisbon's B Team in the Segunda Liga.

Fulham expressed interest in the attacking midfielder under Martin Jol three years ago, with the Cottagers seemingly losing the battle against PSV Eindhoven to sign the talented Moroccan.

However, on deadline day it looks like the West London side have finally been able to secure their man as they look to revitalise their season.

Jokanovic's side are currently only three points off the relegation places in the Championship after another disappointing and inconsistent campaign.

Fulham are set to have a busy transfer deadline day with the speculation surrounding Ross McCormack's future continues, with the striker now seemingly set to stay at Craven Cottage.

The Championship side will also be hoping that they can tie up a loan deal for versatile Brighton midfielder Rohan Ince.

Fulham fans, would you be happy to see Labyad come in on loan? Do you think he will be a welcome addition to your starting line-up?
