‘Frustrating’, ‘So poor’ – Many Millwall fans react to 26-year-old’s weekend performanc

Plenty of Millwall supporters have taken to Twitter to express their frustration following Jed Wallace’s performance in Saturday’s draw with Nottingham Forest.
Wallace has been the Lions’ talisman in recent seasons, contributing to 23 Championship goals last term, but is currently enduring a testing period at The Den.
Yesterday’s blank against Forest means that the Millwall winger has failed to score from open play in his previous 17 matches, providing just two assists in that period against Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End.
And perhaps one moment summed up Wallace’s form against the Reds.
Having been slipped in impressively by Jon Dadi Bodvarsson moments after Alex Mighten had cancelled out Tom Bradshaw’s opener, Wallace was in caught minds as whether to square it for Bradshaw or go shoot himself – eventually doing neither as the Lions’ best chance of the game was wasted.
Quiz: Did these 25 players make more or less than 100 Millwall appearances?
The Den faithful have had their say on that frustrating second-half moment, and Wallace’s general display against Chris Hughton’s side.

I’d pay £15m for someone to take him, the way he’s playing

Jed has been poor recently. Largely because he’s been playing so central – be it his own decision or Rowetts instructions. Hopefully we stay 442 for a while and he gets back in form in his best position. Great ball from JDB. Williams & Bradshaw had a good game today too.

He seems exempt from stick, he’s awful with his decision making

What made him think squaring was a better idea? Absolutely bottled it https://t.co/mdpsQUbtHl

Disappointing result but can’t argue with that performance. Dominated that second half and really deserved a winner. We’ve not attacked in numbers like that for a while.
Bod was excellent and Leonard not far behind.Jed again all the energy but lacked the quality in the final 3rd— Tony Munday (@TonyMunday1968) December 19, 2020
Jed Wallace can be so frustrating. ✌️
