Norwich City will be without Alex Tettey tomorrow afternoon against Bolton Wanderers, whilst Daniel Farke also has concerns over Emi Buendia and Marco Stiepermann heading into the fixture.

Tettey, who has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season for the Canaries, only returned to the starting XI on Wednesday evening, completing 90 minutes of the 3-1 defeat to Preston North End.

Now, an update from Norwich’s official media has confirmed that Tettey will sit out tomorrow’s trip to struggling Bolton.

Farke could also be without two other first-team regulars, with Buendia and Stiepermann in a race against time to prove their fitness. The update states that the Canaries will make a late decision on that duo.

It only adds to Norwich’s recent woe, with Farke currently without Mario Vrancic.

Vrancic missed the clash with Preston on Wednesday with ankle ligament trouble, which is expected to rule him out of action for three weeks.

Promotion-chasing Norwich face Bolton this weekend before returning to Carrow Road, when they take on the in-form Bristol City on February 23.

From there, Farke’s side play five times over the course of March, travelling to Millwall, Rotherham and Middlesbrough, whilst welcoming Swansea and Hull to Carrow Road.

The Verdict

This is obviously more frustrating injury news for Norwich.

It’s a crucial part of the season and it is expected, but losing Tettey, along with Vrancic, isn’t what Farke needs.

Add to that, the doubt over Buendia and Stiepermann, and Farke will be almost tearing his hair out.

They should have too much for Bolton still, but it won’t take away the frustration.
